  • When: March 22nd, 1pm
  • Where: Cafe Catedral, 25th and Christiana in Chicago. upstairs room
  • Who: Locals Council, and CCGP members who wish to participate

It is very important that any candidates who would like to be endorsed and slated for a county-wide seat attend this meeting.

This would include the following offices:

  • Cook County Circuit Court Clerk
  • Recorder of Deeds
  • State's Attorney
  • Metropolitan Water Reclaimation District (tentative)
  • Board of Review, 2nd and 3rd district

Candidate Interviews

Interview Candidates for county-wide offices. Each speaker will make a 5 minute presentation, and then be interviewed by the LC. Interview sessions will be 10 minutes max for each candidate.:

  • Terry Gilhooly for Recorder of Deeds
  • Thomas O'brien for States Attorney
  • Tony Cox for Cook County Board of Review district 3
  • Howard Kaplan for Cook County Board of Review district 2

This is not a final list, so do not fret if you do not see your favorite here. If you or someone you know would like to interview for the LC endorsement (which is a pre-requisite for slating) then please contact craig@red-bean.com.

Locals Council Endorsement Decisions

We will alot 1 hour for Locals Council discussion of candidates, after candidates have been asked to leave the room. Considering candidates in order, the Locals Council we will decide for or against endorsement

Miscellaneous

  • Set a time, and propose agenda items for next Locals Council meeting
  • Announcements
  • Consider and vote on proposal to endorse and work to support the May 1st Immigrant Rights march


If you would like to propose something be added to the agenda, please let me know. This meeting is may take quite a it of discussion, listening, and consideration, so additional agenda items should be under 5 minutes.

Next Meeting

The next meeting of the Locals Council will be on April 5th at noon. It will take place at Cafe Catedral. This is the same location as the April 5th Central Committee meeting. The purpose of this meeting will be to endorse any remaining county wide candidates, including the two candidates deferred at this meeting.
