The Cook County Green Party (CCGP) was established on September 1st, 2007, with the goal of advancing the green movement within Cook County Illinois and beyond. The Ten Key Values of the of the Green Party are the CCGP's guide in its political and non-political activities.

Membership

The members of the ILGP within Cook Country are the highest authority within the CCGP, and the various committees are all subservient to the membership, and their decisions can be reversed by the membership. Membership in the ILGP is a requirement for participating in any decision-making within the CCGP.

Executive Committee

At the March 5, 2010, membership meeting the bylaws were revised to create a five member Executive Committee.

The officers elected at that time are

   Chairman    Alberto Bocanegra, two year term ends with the membership meeting in 2012
   Vice-Chair  Walter Pituc, one year term ends with the membership meeting in 2011
   Secretary   Tim Campbell, two year term ends with the membership meeting in 2012
   Treasurer   Jack Ailey, one year term ends with the membership meeting in 2011
   Membership Steward   Craig Brozefsky, two year term ends with the membership meeting in 2012

Locals Council

Previously known as the Coordinating Committee, but renamed due to a shortage of 'C's, the Locals Council consists of a representative from each of the ILGP locals that operate within Cook County.

Central Committee

The Cook County Central Committee, or 4C, consists of all elected or appointed Ward and Township committepersons. It's purpose is to form the standing committee of Cook Country Green Party, as defined in Illinois state law. To translate, it means that Illinois law requires such a committee to handle the slating of candidates for seats within the county.
